Terms of use
The document contains the terms of use applicable to:
1. Terms of use of the AndroidTM application – “My personal Inventory”
With the installation of the application “My personal inventory” (hereinafter referred to as “app”) on your device and/or the use of the app, you fully accept these terms of use.
If you do not agree to the terms of use, please do not use the app.
The author of the app reserves the right to change the terms of use of the app at any time, in whole or in part, as part of the technical and functional development. You are therefore asked to consult the terms of use regularly.
On relevant changes users will also get information through the app.
Some basic terms that are referred to in the document are:
- “App”
means the “My Personal Inventory” software available for users in the Google Play Store for download onto their Android® devices. - “User”
means an individual who has downloaded and uses the App.
1.1. Subject of the app
The purpose of the app is to create and manage simple, private, personal inventories on an Android®-based device.
The app is provided “AS IS” with no warranties of specific functionality and without any express or implied warranties or conditions of any kind.
The app may be updated from time to time to add new features or services or to adjust existing features and/or services.
1.2. Technical preconditions
The technical preconditions that enable the installation and use of the app must be provided by the user. To access and use the app you will need:
- A compatible mobile phone or a compatible mobile device
- Google Play® available on the end device
- A Google Play® customer account
The following mobile devices are compatible:
- Android® OS from version 9
In case you want to use the Google-Drive® , OneDrive® , WebDAV, MyInventory Account integration for the backup function:
- Internet access
- A Google®, OneDrive®, WebDAV or MyInventory account
- Sufficient storage space on your respective Google Drive® , OneDrive® , WebDAV, MyInventory Account
The app can be downloaded free of charge from the “Google Play Store”.
1.3. Costs of use
The installation and use of the app is free for the user.
However, this does not apply to:
- Any costs incurred through the use of the end device
- Any connection costs incurred as well as costs caused by the access to the Internet
- Any costs incurred for loading the app or saving your data over your online connection
- Any costs incurred for storing your data on your preferred online storage provider
1.4. End user license agreement (EULA)
The user is granted a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, free right to use the app. This is granted exclusively for his own needs and within the scope of using the app for personal purposes to the exclusion of any other purpose.
The user is not allowed to:
- Reverse engineering parts or the entire app
- Hack all or part of the app
The terms of this license apply to any updates provided that replace and/or supplement the original app, unless that update is accompanied by a separate license. In that case, the terms of that license will take precedence.
1.5. Rights, obligations of the user
It is the user’s responsibility to take all appropriate measures to protect their own data and/or the software stored on their devices (mobile phone, computer, etc.) against damage (in particular malfunction, viruses, hackers…). By using the app, the user assumes responsibility for any negative consequences that may be caused by the app.
The user expressly agrees:
- To load the app onto their end devices solely for personal and non-commercial use
- Not to sell, rent, sub-license or otherwise distribute the App to third parties
- Maintain the Android device updated
1.6. Rights, obligations and liability of the author
The app is provided by the author “AS IS” with no promises of specific functionality and without any express or implied warranties or conditions of any kind. The author makes no representations or guarantees that the app will meet the user’s specific requirements or be error-free. Access and use of the app is at the user’s risk.
The author is not obligated to provide technical support, maintenance, or updates for the app unless explicitly agreed upon under separate terms and conditions. The user is also responsible for ensuring that their use of the app complies with applicable laws and regulations, and for maintaining the confidentiality of any data stored in the app.
1.7. Required rights of the app
For the app to function optimally, the user must allow the following functions for the app under Android®:
- Camera
Used to take photos of inventory items and store them in the app. - Access to the internal memory
Serves to save the data of the app on the end device. - Access to the Internet
If you use the Google-Drive®, OneDrive® , WebDAV, MyInventory Account Integration to backup/restore your inventory data on your respective account. - Access to the status of the network
Used to check the network status before backing up/restoring the inventory data and to warn you if there is no online connection. Optionally, the user can also be informed about a missing WiFi connection. Depending on your mobile phone contract, this can save connection costs. - Microphone
Optional: If you use the function to create and add voice notes to articles. The application only asks for this right when you use the “voice notes” functionality.
1.8. Limitation of liability and disclaimer
The following is explicitly excluded from the liability of the author:
- Direct or indirect damage of any kind resulting from the use or inability to use the app and in particular any financial loss and loss of data
- Direct and indirect damages of any kind resulting from the use or inability to use websites accessed with the app or with websites that the user accesses via the app
Note: the user can store addresses of websites in the data of inventory items and open them through the standard internet browser of the device - Damages of any kind caused to the users, their devices, their computer and the data stored in them, or for possible repercussions on their personal, professional or commercial activities
- Damage of any kind, in case of improper use of the device and/or an incident related to the use of the device when using the app.
1.9. Scope of terms of service, geographical restriction and location
The Terms of Use apply to all users of the app. The use of the app is limited to countries in which Google Play® is officially offered by Google®.
The app does not access the location of the end device.
1.10. Protection of personal data

The app does not send any data to the author of the app.
If you want to use Google Drive® integration, to backup your inventory data on your Google DriveTM, you have to log in to your Google account. By doing so, you agree to the terms of use and the data protection regulations of Google and Google-Drive® . You can find these at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/drive/terms-of-service/
You may not use the Google Drive® integration if you do not agree to the terms of use and the privacy policy of Google and Google Drive® .
If you want to use OneDrive® integration, to backup your inventory data on your OneDrive®, you have to log in to your Microsoft account. By doing so, you agree to the terms of use and the data protection regulations of Microsoft® and OneDrive® . You can find these at https://www.microsoft.com/servicesagreement
You may not use the OneDrive® integration if you do not agree to the terms of use and the privacy policy of Microsoft and OneDrive®.
If you want to use WebDAV, to backup your inventory data on your WebDAV drive, you have to log in to your WebDAV server account. Please check and agree on the terms of use and the data protection regulations of the WebDAV server provider before using it.
You may not use the WebDAV integration if you do not agree to the terms of use and the privacy policy of the WebDAV server provider.
If you want to use the MyInventory Account, to backup your inventory data, you have to log in to your MyInventory Account.
Please check and agree before using your MyInventory Account on:
- the terms of use or the MyInventory Account in chapter 2 of this document and
- the data protection regulations of the MyInventory Account at: https://miinventariopersonal.com/en/index.php/data-privacy/
You may not use the MyInventory Account integration if you do not agree to these terms of use and the privacy policy.
1.11. Technical restrictions
For the app to work optimally, certain functions of the mobile terminal must be activated (camera, access to the internal memory, access to the Internet, access to the network status).
If these features are not enabled, blocked by the user, or not present on the user’s terminal, some features of the app will not be usable.
Due to the large number of different devices, different operating system versions and different software installed by the user, the compatibility of the app in all these combinations cannot be guaranteed by the author.
The author cannot be held responsible for any malfunctions.
1.12. Intellectual property
Downloading the app does not give the user any rights to the intellectual property rights of the app. This also applies to texts, graphics, symbols, logos, trademarks used in the app and in general to all elements that make up the app.
The app uses graphics from OpenClipart.org, standard Material Design Icons for the Android platform and images generated by AI.
1.13. Termination
Both Google and the author can decide at any time to stop providing the app.
The decision to stop providing the app does not require any justification and in that case, there is no right to any compensation.
1.14. Action, jurisdiction, and governing law in dispute
For the form, effectiveness and validity of these Terms of Use, the laws of the author’s domicile (Barcelona, Spain) apply.
Before taking legal action, the parties undertake to try together and in good faith to find an amicable solution. Any complaint will therefore first be addressed in writing to the author.
Any dispute that may arise from the validity of these Terms of Use, their interpretation or their implementation shall be exclusively brought before the courts located in Barcelona, Spain. The parties to the dispute expressly waive any other jurisdiction.
2. Terms of use of the “MyInventory Account”
With the creation and usage of a “MyInventory Account” you fully accept these terms of use.
If you do not agree to the terms of use, please do not use the “MyInventory Account”.
The author reserves the right to change the terms of use of the “MyInventory Account” at any time, in whole or in part, as part of the technical and functional development. You are therefore asked to consult the terms of use regularly.
Users of an “MyInventory Account” will also be informed of significant changes via the email address associated with their “MyInventory Account”.
Some basic terms that are referred to in the document are:
- “MyInventory Account” server
means the server where the technical backend runs, the data is stored and the user connects to with the My personal Inventory App, when using the MyInventory Account. - “MyInventory Account” service
means the software backend which runs on the server and provides the whole functionality of storing and synchronizing data between end devices.
2.1. Subject of the “MyInventory Account”
The purpose of the “MyInventory Account” is to offer a backup, restore and synchronization functionality for the data a user manages through the “My personal Inventory App”.
The “MyInventory Account” is provided “AS IS” with no warranties of specific functionality and without any express or implied warranties or conditions of any kind.
“MyInventory Account” is not intended to store personal or sensitive information like passwords, financial information, health related data, etc..
The functionality of the “MyInventory Account” may be updated from time to time to add new features or services or to adjust existing features and/or services.
2.2. Technical preconditions
The “MyInventory Account” is accessible and usable through the “My Personal Inventory App”. All technical preconditions that enable the use of the “MyInventory Account” must be provided by the user:
- The “My Personal Inventory App” installed on a compatible mobile phone or a compatible mobile device
- Internet connection with sufficient bandwidth
2.3. Costs of use
The “MyInventory Account”
Creating a “MyInventory Account” is free for the user.
However, this does not apply to:
- Any costs incurred through the use of the end device
- Any connection costs incurred as well as costs caused by the access to the Internet
- Cost of storage and processing power used for data upload, download and synchronization
Data storage and processing power
The storage of up to 20 MB of data is provided free of charge to users for testing and evaluation purposes.
For users with greater storage needs, various subscription plans will be made available in the near future.

2.4. End user license agreement (EULA)
The user is granted a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable right to use the “MyInventory Account”. This is granted exclusively for his own needs and within the scope of using the “MyInventory App” to the exclusion of any other purpose.
The user is not allowed to:

The terms of this license apply to any updates provided that replace and/or supplement the original “MyInventory Account”, unless that update is accompanied by a separate license. In that case, the terms of that license will take precedence.
2.5. Rights, obligations of the user
The user is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service solely for its intended purposes.
It is the user’s responsibility to take all appropriate measures to protect their own data and/or the software stored on their devices (mobile phone, computer, etc.) against damage (in particular malfunction, viruses, hackers…).
The user is also responsible for ensuring that their use of the Service complies with applicable laws and regulations, and for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials associated with their account.
By using the app with the “MyInventory Account”, the user assumes responsibility for any negative consequences that may be caused by the usage of the “MyInventory Account”.
The user expressly agrees:
- To use the “MyInventory Account” solely for personal and non-commercial purposes
- Not to sell, rent, sub-license or otherwise distribute the App and the “MyInventory Account” to third parties.
- Not to upload any data to the “MyInventory Account” that are protected by copyrights not owned by the user.
- Not to upload any sensitive or confidential information: “MyInventory Account” is not intended to store personal or sensitive information (passwords, financial information, or health related data, etc.).
The user agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the author, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from the user’s use of the Service, violation of these terms and conditions, or infringement of any intellectual property rights. The author reserves the right to control the defense of any such claim, and the user agrees to cooperate with the author in the defense of any such claims.
2.6. Rights, obligations and liability of the author
The “MyInventory Account” is provided by the author on an “AS IS” basis, with no warranties, express or implied, regarding the functionality, performance, or reliability of the Service. The author makes no representations or guarantees that the Service will meet the user’s specific requirements, be error-free, or operate without interruptions. Furthermore, the author does not assume any responsibility or liability for any defects, inaccuracies, or issues arising from the use of the Service.
The author is not obligated to provide technical support, maintenance, or updates for the Service unless explicitly agreed upon under separate terms and conditions.
The author does not guarantee that the “MyInventory Account” will be available at all times or that it will operate without interruption. The Service may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues. The author shall not be liable for any damages or losses incurred due to any interruption or suspension of the “MyInventory Account”.
2.7. Limitation of liability and disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author disclaims any and all liability for damages, losses, or expenses, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential, arising from or in connection with the use or inability to use the “MyInventory Account”. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, business interruptions, or any other personal or commercial losses resulting from errors, omissions, or failures in the “MyInventory Account”.
In no event shall the author’s total liability exceed the amount paid by the user for access to the “MyInventory Account”, if applicable. This limitation of liability shall apply regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is made, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise.
The following is explicitly excluded from the liability of the author:
- Direct or indirect damage of any kind resulting from the use or inability to use the “MyInventory Account” and in particular any financial loss and loss of data
- Damages of any kind caused to the users, their devices, their computer and the data stored in them, or for possible repercussions on their personal, professional or commercial activities
- Damage of any kind, in case of improper use of the device and/or an incident related to the use of the device when using the app.
- Responsibility of any kind for data uploaded by the user.
2.8. Scope of terms of service, geographical restriction and location
The Terms of Use apply to all users of the app which have created a MyInventory Account. The use of the “MyInventory Account” is linked to the use of the “My Personal Inventory App”, which is limited to countries in which the Google Play® is officially offered by Google®.
Neither the “My Personal Inventory App” nor the “MyInventory Account” access or check the location of the end device.
2.9. Protection of personal data
The inventory data and document files of each “MyInventory Account” are stored in a specific, isolated and encrypted storage space.
The data will not be used for any unauthorized purposes. Your data will not be shared or sold to third parties and neither be used for advertising.

2.10. Technical restrictions
The use of the “MyInventory Account” is linked to the use of the “My Personal Inventory App” and requires an active Internet connection with sufficient bandwidth. Insufficient bandwidth will cause slow or interrupted data synchronization.
2.11. Intellectual property
Using the “MyInventory Account” does not give the user any rights to the intellectual property rights. This also applies to texts, graphics, symbols, logos, trademarks used in the “MyInventory Account” service implementation and in general to all elements that make up the service.
The “MyInventory Account” service implementation makes use of graphics from OpenClipart.org, standard Material Design and images generated by Microsoft Copilot.
Any data uploaded by the user must not contain any copyright that the user does not own.
2.12. Termination
By the user
The user can decide at any time to terminate its “MyInventory Account”. By doing so, any data stored on and linked to the “MyInventory Account” at the moment of termination will be completely deleted. This action is irreversible.
By terminating the “MyInventory Account” the data stored locally on your device in the “My Personal Inventory App” will remain untouched.
Uninstalling the “MyInventory App” from your local device will not affect your “MyInventory Account”.
By the author
The author reserves the right to terminate or suspend a user’s access to the “MyInventory Account”, with or without cause, at any time and without prior notice. This may occur in the event of a breach of these terms and conditions or if the author believes the user’s continued use of the “MyInventory Account” is harmful to the author or other users. Upon termination, the user’s rights to access the “MyInventory Account” will immediately cease, and the user agrees to cease all use of the “MyInventory Account”.
Inactive accounts
“MyInventory Accounts” without any activity during 6 months will be considered as inactive. Inactive accounts will receive a reminder to realize a login action to reactivate the account within the next three months following the notification.
“MyInventory Accounts” that are inactive for 9 months (counted from the last login) will be deleted, including any data stored on or linked to the “MyInventory Account”.
Service termination
The author can decide at any time to stop providing the “MyInventory Account” service. The decision to stop providing the “MyInventory Account” service does not require any justification and in that case, there is no right to any compensation.
Any data stored on and linked to the “MyInventory Account” at the moment of termination will be completely deleted.
2.13. Action, jurisdiction, and governing law in dispute
